Remnants.

Lost things in forgotten places. A conceptual film photoshoot.

Remnants was a portrait series that I did out of my own volition.

As I’ve spent my life navigating through spaces, both mental and literal, I was inspired to do a conceptual photoshoot of the “remnants” of places and things.

These are figments of memories; of people forgotten in equally forgotten and abandoned areas.

All of the images showcased were shot on film using a variety of film stocks and film cameras; processed by hand (excluding colour), scanned; and edited with Photoshop.

Shot from June 2018-2019 near Morley, Alberta, and Macaulay Point, Victoria.
All images by Nikki Celis.
